Start the New Year off e-friendly
January 5, 2010
If you live in or near Airdrie, Alberta you will definitely want to take part in TREECYCLE this weekend, a project that Prairie Sun Creations is proud to sponsor.
TREECYCLE: Recycle Your Christmas Tree for Charity
This family event is open to everyone. Drop-off your Christmas Tree at Main Street Square (304 Main Street, north parking lot of City Hall) on either:
Saturday, January 9, 10 am – 5 pm
Sunday, January 10, 11 am – 5 pm
Be sure to bring food/cash donations for the Airdrie Food Bank when you drop off your Christmas Trees. As a thank you, you will receive a reusable shopping bag filled with goodies, a free Fair Trade coffee compliments of Global A.P.E. as well as an entry form to win on of many donated gift baskets by local merchants.
Stay a while and meet the Airdrie Rodeo Royalty and bid on a silent auction. Auction items are donated by various local businesses including Prairie Sun Creations.
Don’t use a real tree? No problem, bring down your food or cash donation for the food bank and you can still enter to win and participate in the silent auction.
LOGical Creations will take all the collected Christmas trees to the Airdrie Recycle Depot where they will be chipped and used for landscaping in City parks. All of the money and donations collected will go directly to the Airdrie Food Bank.
